Closing date: Tuesday 26 December 2023

The Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) Pharmacy Department is looking to recruit two Apprentice Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians to join its forward-thinking team to support the provision of high-quality pharmacy services across Northamptonshire.

This is a unique training post designed to give the trainee the experience and knowledge to be able to qualify and work as a Pharmacy Technician in various pharmacy sectors, including mental health services, GP surgeries and community pharmacy. The apprentice will be supported by the pharmacy team and the chosen training provider, Buttercups Training, throughout the placement. Training materials, dedicated study time, access to distance learning and virtual classrooms, in conjunction with working in clinical settings will help the trainees achieve the required skills and competencies to successfully register as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (the regulatory body for Pharmacy).

The two apprenticeships begin in February 2024 and last for 24 months, based at Berrywood Hospital in Northampton.
