Careers Academy showcases NHS and care sector opportunities for current and new talent
Northamptonshire Health and Care Careers Academy offers a resource for our current and future talent by inspiring and exploring health and social care career opportunities across the county.
The one-stop shop website brings together partner organisations, such as NHS trusts, GP practices and voluntary services. It showcases opportunity and reflects the joined-up approach to ways of working represented throughout Integrated Care Northamptonshire (ICN).
Choosing the right career pathway or the next professional step to take can be a difficult task for most and, while the Careers Academy can’t decide for you, it provides detailed overviews of the many routes into health and care careers like apprenticeships, volunteering, T Levels and getting experience.
This support is supplemented by a section for teachers and career advisors. Aligned with national benchmarks, the Careers Academy links subjects to employment opportunities and facilitates contact between employers and future employees. This helps to filter the Academy’s work into classrooms.
The Careers Academy has been organised to engage stakeholders. It features intuitive page mapping, guiding viewers seamlessly through the array of options available. Visitors to the site will encounter case studies, myth-busting videos, links to sign up to upcoming careers events opportunities and more, addressing any concerns and showcasing the value of careers in health and social care.
