We are delighted to announce that three colleagues within Integrated Care Northamptonshire (ICN) have been selected for the Staff Networks Chairs Leadership Development Programme 2022/23. Developed by NHS England’s (Midlands) Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Team, the 12-month scheme aims to encourage consistent and high-performing staff networks.

ICN has been allocated three of the 30 places available within this year’s cohort. Sally Tomalin of the Gender Equality Staff Network (Kettering General Hospital), Jane Sanjeevi of the REACH Staff Network (Northampton General Hospital) and Iona McLaggan-Lane of the DAWN Staff Network (Northampton General Hospital) will represent our system.

A new fully co-designed project, the Staff Networks Chairs Leadership Development Programme suits the development needs of Network Chairs as Leaders across the Midlands region. Adopting effective modes of delivery – including experiential development sessions, which explore the role of leaders within well-led services, and peer coaching – the programme maximises engagement and participation.

Upon completion, the cohort will have further developed leadership skills as a Network Chair, contributing towards ever more open and fair cultures within our system’s organisations.

We would like to wish many congratulations to Sally, Jane and Iona.
